At about the age of 2, children spend more time in the rooms known as the ‘Butterflies’.

Here we also have a play loft (taller and even more exciting!) alongside the more familiar nursery activities such as sand and water play, role play, the creative corner and computer games. In fact, I.T. plays a big role in nursery life, with all sorts of gadget including programmable robots, microscopes, microphones and torches. We encourage outdoor play all year round, providing resources for the children to make their own dens. They also love to experiment with large-scale household items such as guttering for the toy cars to race down and paint rollers to apply water to walls.



The government issues statutory guidelines on the way nurseries care for children, known as The Early Years Foundation Stage. Whatever your child is doing at nursery, you can be assured that staff are constantly working with them within this framework.
